Whilst many property developers in London pay lip service to the idea of creating neighbourhoods, few actually could authentically be described as such. In the case of Royal Wharf however, it’s a real proposition.
Inspired by traditional community structures and layouts, the site has a high street, town square, local school and fully-equipped leisure complex, as well as almost four thousand homes.
Smith Dawson have been involved in Royal Wharf through its history, from early pre-planning consultancy regarding the initial scheme strategy and place-making, through to the branding, identity, communication strategy, the sales and marketing materials, and even the conception and production of its very own local newspaper. More detail on this aspect of the project can be found on the next case study.
